ELISA. Western blot (1/1,000-1/2,000). Immunohistochemistry on Paraffin Sections (10 μg/mL). This Cofilin 1 antibody was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigenretrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides wereincubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkalinephosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.

- Background
- Cofilin is a family of actin-binding proteins which disassembles actin filaments. It is a widely distributed intracellular actin-modulating protein that binds and depolymerizes filamentous F-actin and inhibits the polymerization of monomeric G-actin in a pH -dependent manner. It is involved in the translocation of actin-cofilin complex from cytoplasm to nucleus.Synonyms: 18 kDa phosphoprotein, CFL, CFL1, Cofilin non-muscle isoform, p18
