Western Blotting (WB), Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin-embedded Sections) (IHC (p))
Specificity
This antibody detects endogenous levels of total Stathmin-1 protein.
Purification
Immunoaffinity Chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.
Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized non-phosphopeptide derived from human Stathmin-1 around the phosphorylation site of Serine 62 (R-K-Sp-H-E).
Western Blot: 1/500approx. 1/1000. Immunohistochemistry on Paraffin-Embedded Sections: 1/50approx. 1/100. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

This protein is a ubiquitous cytosolic phosphoprotein proposed to function as an intracellular relay integrating regulatory signals of the cellular environment. The encoded protein is involved in the regulation of the microtubule filament system by destabilizing microtubules. It prevents assembly and promotes disassembly of microtubules. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.Synonyms: LAP18, Leukemia-associated phosphoprotein p18, Metablastin, OP18, Oncoprotein 18, Op18, Phosphoprotein p19, Prosolin, Protein Pr22, pp17, pp19
