- Background
- He expression of CD54 is upregulated by activation, it is expressed on activated endothelial cells, T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, granulocytes and dendritic cells. ICAM1 (CD54) is typically expressed on endothelial cells and cells of the immune system. ICAM1 binds to integrins of type CD11a / CD18, or CD11b / CD18. ICAM1 is also exploited by Rhinovirus as a receptor.
