Western Blot: 0.5-4 μg/mL. Immunohistochemistry on paraffin sections: 10-20 μg/mL. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
Caspase-3 has been extensively studied and implicated to play an important role in apoptosis. Active caspase-3 proteolytically cleaves and activates other caspases, as well as relevant targets in the cells (e.g., PARP). The affinity purified antibody recognizing the active forms of caspase-3 provides a new tool for identifying apoptotic cell populations in both tissue sections and cultured cells.Synonyms: Apopain, CASP-3, CASP3, CPP-32, CPP32, Cysteine protease CPP32, SCA-1, SCA1, SREBP cleavage activity 1, Yama protein
